Buried Hatchet Stout is a stout beer created and brewed by Southern Star Brewing Company. The beer is a dark, near black color and packs a multitude of robust flavors in each sip. From coffee to chocolate, this beer is a unique take on the stout formula.

Approach

To offer a stronger direction for the beer’s recognizability and branding, the labeling on the can has been changed from a mostly dark and rustic approach to a more colorful, yet cozy and hazy approach. Focusing on keeping elements of the original can, the branding has been overhauled and expanded upon to emphasize the beer’s name and when it is best to drink it.
