Overview

Augusta is a publication featuring images and scans related to the company Augusta Landscape Services, as well as an interview with the company’s former owner, Kai Dussling. The publication is to provide a deeper understanding into what it might be like to own, run and manage a medium sized landscaping company.

Approach

It might be strange to feature black and white images in a publication about landscaping where colorful flowers and lush plants are often seen. However, wanting to peel back that layer, the publication instead features color on the blueprint overlays that span each spread. This draws attention to a more technical, stressful and mundane side of the job. These are themes discussed within the publication’s interview.
